  1. This is a nice basic guide to those who are thinking of trying out meditation for the first time. It's important to point out that it's best to find a quiet area to meditate where others aren't likely to come in and distract you or outside noises won't disturb you. Spend time on each stage as there is no rule as to how much time each stage should take, everyone is an individual.
